Liability for links on the Reese web site
In its judgement on the liability for links of 12 May
1998 (case no. 312 O 85/98) the Hamburg District Court
has ruled that integrating a link may entail co-responsibility
for the contents of the linked pages UNLESS the owner
of the linking site dissociates itself explicitly from
the contents of the linked site.
Härterei Reese hereby declares:
We have integrated in our pages a number of links to
other pages on the internet. With respect to all these
links Härterei Reese has no influence whatsoever
on the layout and contents of the pages thus linked.
For this reason we hereby explicitly dissociate ourselves
from all contents of all pages to which a link exists
on our pages. Härterei Reese denies any ownership
of the contents of these linked pages.
